Nbryo’s Operations Manager, Hannah Gibb talks to Queensland Country Life about her role and her insights from Cattle Australia’s National Beef Leaders program, ahead of the next cohort’s intake.

When asked about her inspiration for joining the program, Hannah shared:

“I was at a point in my career where I was now working for an exciting, unique organisation about to disrupt the livestock industry. I was looking for opportunities to engage with all corners of the livestock sector and to have further interaction with industry leaders and producers. What we are doing at Nbryo is not only relevant to the seedstock industry, our technology has the potential to impact the entire supply chain including commercial producers”

Hannah spoke highly of the program, designed for people aged between 21 and 35 years, who are established in their careers and ready to take the next step in leadership and advocacy. As Hannah’s role often involves on-farm days, she shared a highlight of the program being during the final week when the cohort were put through a real-life industry crisis scenario.

“This was drawing on the culmination of the skills we’d gained throughout the program – we had to really work together and rely on the core learnings we had taken from the program. It was a great opportunity to put into practice all the things we had learnt, from governance training through to talking to the media.”
